i was taking out the trash... a sunday night ritual - and noticed that my whole part of the neighborhood was lit up. it's usually kinda dark. seems the mist off the melting snow meeting up with the lazy drizzle was leaving the light with nowhere to hide.

i dunno... i just paused for a second while i was by the pasta warehouse - and looked at my yard. my house. the trees seem so big from outside the yard. the whole thing like some freak oil painting by an artist who happened to stop in the same steps...

....such inspiration....

yes.... the fire truck chose my street to sit on for a half hour while I shoveled snow in my neighborhood today... no apparent reason - with the truck running the entire time - diesel fumes filling the air!

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....

....but there it was - matching - the absurdities that confront us every single day.

...and here i am - tonight - hoping for the removal of the santa hat ball - and the end of the obstruction.

i'm looking for the flow in life - hoping for a break.

...so in case you hadn't noticed... I'm a tad behind in this blog... well. not behind, exactly...but I haven't really discussed my parameters, really. I'm thinking that I want to use my iPhone camera - mostly - and then pull the file through photoshop to produce an image of recent importance in my life. layers from my small world. this shot was taken two days ago while I was walking my dog in downtown libertyville.... if it was a shot from today there would be a lot of snow - so I'm not going to be all strict that the shot has to come from the day I post - I'll give myself some grace - neither will I "zig-zag through my life" as I have in previous photoblogs.... so nothing from ten years ago - or even last month....

....as with all of my previous photoblogs, though..... You will have never seen the image before.
